Breathe Easy Arizona Overview
The American Lung Association in Arizona is proud to present Breathe Easy Arizona: A COPD Collaborative, a new program that focuses on Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease throughout the state. The Breathe Easy program identifies individuals at-risk for COPD through early detection and screening. The program consists of community and healthcare provider education, improving the quality of life for those afflicted, increasing spirometry awareness for early detection and interventions for high-risk behaviors associated with the disease, such as smoking. The website is more user-friendly and provides in-depth information and a range of resources for COPD patients, family members and caregivers. Topics on the site are arranged thematically and include tools such as a COPD screening guide, an interactive glossary of COPD-related terminology and articles focused on living with COPD. The new website is intended to help everyone affected by COPD breathe a little easier.
