COPD SPECIALIST COURSE
8 hours, 8 CEU/8.5 CME
This course provides healthcare professionals with a thorough overview of COPD. Specific attention is given to COPD pathology and risk factors, respiratory pharmacology, simple spirometry, oxygen therapy and COPD management. This course is available to all medical and allied healthcare professionals and practitioners.

The course includes a state-of-the-art dynamic and graphic demonstration of how the patient’s systems respond to the disease and treatments.

BRIEF TOBACCO INTERVENTION SKILLS WORKSHOP
4 hours, 4 CEU/4 CME
The goal of this workshop is to disseminate tobacco use and dependence interventions as recommended by the United States Public Health Services. This class teaches the “Five A” model to intervene with health risk behaviors, provides referrals for intensive services and professional support and present evidence-based practices in tobacco use prevention, treatment and control. The audience for this program includes healthcare providers, medical and allied health students, policy makers, administrators and lay community health workers.

COPD 101
COPD 101 is an informational presentation that is intended to raise awareness and educate the public about COPD. This interactive program concentrates on what COPD is, its early warning signs, risk factors, testing, and how to talk with family physicians about it. A significant portion of the population knows very little about COPD and this program provides basic information and practical steps for people to follow if they are concerned about lung health and quality of life.

SIMPLE OFFICE SPIROMETRY FOR TECHNICIANS
1 hour lecture, 1 hour hands-on demo
This one hour lecture followed by one hour hands on demonstration, identifies the importance of spirometry, helps technicians understand the importance of making a test quality assessment prior to interpretation and demonstrate how to perform spirometry.

TOBACCO DEPENDENCE TREATMENT(TDT)
1 hour, 1 CEU/1 CME
The one hour program seeks to inspire and prepare health advocates with the basic knowledge and skills specific to evidence-based practices in tobacco control, with an emphasis on early detection, intervention, and treatment for tobacco use and dependence. Presented by members of the Speakers’ Bureau, this comprehensive program encourages participants to deliver a consistent prevention, treatment, and cessation intervention; offer resources and referral sources; and assist patients and clients to abstain from tobacco use, as recommended by the US Public Health Service Clinical Practice Guideline, Treating Tobacco Use and Dependence.

SIMPLE OFFICE SPIROMETRY INTERPRETATION FOR PRACTITIONERS
1 hour
This lecture created specifically for practitioners identifies the purpose of spirometry for the identification and management of COPD, helps practitioners understand the importance of making a test quality assessment prior to interpretation and describes current staging guidelines for the interpretation of spirometry.
